Forensic Evaluations and Consultation

Forensic evaluations are those relating to legal issues. These include assessment of dangerousness, fitness for trail, risk, competency to understand and sign documents, parenting evaluations, ICBC and injury related evaluations.

For nearly ten years I served as a forensic psychologist in the New York State forensic system and testified at numerous cases about competency to stand trail, dangerousness, risk and insanity pleas. Additionally I have worked in correctional institutions and extensively with adolescents as the director of mental health services at the New York State's intake program for youthful offenders.

In addition to my experience in psychology in this field I hold a doctorate in law from City University of New York Law School and have worked as a mediator in numerous community, civil and criminal cases.

Costs of forensic examination vary, but on average fees are $250.00 per hour. Fees for court appearances are the same with minimum 1/2 day billings. Usually patients arrange for forensic psychological services through their legal counsel. If you are interested in these services please contact me directly.
